Hi! Thanks for checking out the site.
Babysentials is intended to be a site about "one mom's view of the world of baby care products", but my wife has been kind enough to extend an invitation for me to contribute as well. So when I do, I will bring a bit of a dad's perspective to the wonderful world of child-rearing. While most of our posts will describe products that, for good or bad, have made an impression on us, we'll also occasionally touch on aspects of the parenting experience that we'd like to share with other parents, parents-to-be, or parent-wannabes.
My wife and I have two beautiful children, ages 2 1/2 and 3 months. (Our 3-month old can be seen in the banner above, contemplating the products to her left...) Like all parents, we are by no means authorities on the subject, but we've spent a lot of time over the past three years learning the ropes and have been eager to share some of our experiences. Our hope would be to provide, via this blog, all the information that we came about the hard way, so that other parents can benefit from our experiences.
So whether you are just starting to think about having children, are expecting, or are already pulling all-nighters and wondering when it will ever end, we'd love to hear from you. If there's something you'd like us to talk about, drop us a note in the comments. Subscribe to the blog with the links on the right so you can keep up with all our latest posts. And most importantly, take a minute to savor where you are right now: though it often changes for the better, your life will never be the same as it is right now.

Welcome to babysentials
Who am I?
I'm a stay-at-home-mom who loves her life. I love my husband. I love my children. I love my family.
I'm a research fool. I very rarely make an impulse buy, unless it's one of those $1 buys at Target. I like to research every product I buy online, see it IRL and then decide whether or not I need/want the item. I used to be the girl who couldn't stand an online review. Why would I trust the word of a total stranger, an anonymous poster?
Well, things have changed. With so many products out there designed to steal money away from mommies just like me I now look to customer reviews of a products for the real scoop. Manufacturer descriptions can be deceptive. Editorial reviews can be deceptive as well. Are they getting paid to give a good review? Who knows?
So here it is. My contribution to the blog-review world. This is my first hand experience with the products that have made it across my doorstep. This is my take on the products that I want, think are great, think are stupid, and mainly just a place to speak my mind.
